Our firm offers E-Filing for Federal and State personal tax returns at no additional fee. Some other forms (rental/small businesses, NYC 1127, Out of State (some), extensive stock transactions (see below), will have an additional fee. See the schedule below:
Fee Schedule 2019 includes Electronic Filing for Federal/State
Basic Return Fee is $200
Child Tax Return $100 (may be discounted when preparing parents return)
Rental/Small Business, NYC 1127, Out-of State (some), extensive stock transactions may have an additional fee of $50 (for 2019, brokers will be issuing, in most cases, cost basis reports for stock sales in 2019 - this is new the past few years and should be sent to you after February 15th; if you don't have the cost basis, you should do some research prior to appointment.) We CANNOT determine YOUR cost basis in a stock by law. IRS will be closely monitoring stock transactions.
IMPORTANT FACTS to remember for 2019 tax preparation:
We are ready for the new tax updates.
New forms you may receive this year are 1095A, B or C. If you get one, please bring it with you. If you purchased health insurance through the Marketplace, you will not be able to file your return without it. This is part of the Affordable Care Act (ACA)
Donations to charities (including cash) require written documentation to support the deduction.
It is so IMPORTANT, as mentioned elseware on this site, that you bring COST BASIS of stocks sold in 2019. Before your appointment, be sure to have this information. Check with your broker that the cost basis was supplied to you.
Bring any college tuition payment forms and student loan interest statements. You should also summarize your rental expenses, business expenses, and job related expenses. We also provide, at no additional cost, a FAFSA worksheet to assist you in your preparing that form for your children or for you.
Also, if applicable, bring amount of premiums paid for Long Term Health Care Insurance. If you bought a new car, boat, motor home in 2019, bring sales tax receipt. This may be a deduction for those who don't have any State/City taxes withheld, when itemizing. Child care expenses require name of provider, tax identification numbers, address and amounts paid.
Review your papers before appointment. Compare your income/deductions to last year's return. Bring a copy of your 2018 return. If you mail your return, photocopy any papers you send us. For our "out-of-state -clients", we will try to complete your return in a timely manner. In most cases, we will again offer same day tax service. Be sure to check that you have all your paperwork prior to our appointment. If you do not, please call us and we will be happy to reschedule your appointment.
The above fees includes supporting schedules, as well as the electronic filing. In some complex cases (as mentioned above) an additional fee may be charged. Payment will be appreciated upon the completion of your return. Bookkeeping is difficult at times to monitor who paid and who did not pay. Returns CANNOT be E-Filed until payment is received. IRS considers a "paid preparer" able to E-File, once payment is made and appropriate forms are signed.
Office directions are listed on this website. Thank you.
